Home Lab

My home lab is my sandbox. It’s the practice room for improving my technical skills along my IT journey.

My daily driver is my M2 MacBook Pro. I also run Windows and Kali Linux virtual machines with VMWare, but regularly spin up and take down VMs of other operating systems, like Windows Server, Ubuntu, or whatever I feel like exploring.

I also have several Raspberry Pis. One is currently a portable penetration testing device running Raspian OS hosting a Kali Linux VM. Another is busy collecting my Gecko’s terrarium data to optimize the temperature and humidity of his environment.

In addition to my primary driver and Raspberry Pi army, I have a bunch of old, Frankenstein-ed HP notebook laptops, as well as used networking equipment that I have deconstructed and reassembled in order to better visualize the components of the equipment.

I also have an old Nexus 5 phone running Kali Nethunter.

Penetration testing and hardware hacking is something I thoroughly enjoy experimenting with. My home lab is a growing space, essential for discovering how things work and how to break them. It inspires me to think about fortifying ourselves and our systems - a never-ending problem that I love attempting to solve.
